Armed with his old broken guitar and high pitched voice, Johnny Stronghands plays softened delta blues like you’ve never heard it before. One put it like this “Cool, personal blues for the broken-hearted.”… some say he originates from the deep Mississippi, where he had a good life until his brother shot his women down out of jealousy. His brother got away with the murder which led to Johnny hunting him down for nine days & nights, until he finally found him in an old juke joint. That situation ended up with Johnny killing him with a broken whiskey bottle in a fight that makes people shiver to this day. Because of the amount of people witnessing the kill, Johnny had skip town and eventually the country… after 3 years of drinkin’ and ramblin’ he finally settled down in Reykjavík where he keeps on bluesin’ about his troublesome life.
